One of the most important things you should learn about making money online is that you need to diversify your online income. As the old saying goes: “don’t put all your eggs in one basket!” This is true in many aspects of life and it also rings true if you want to make money from home using the internet.
Let’s say all your online income comes through Google AdSense. Not a bad choice to start making money through a blog. But what if Google suddenly banned you from using the program. You may think that unlikely but in fact it happens to more people than you might think. The workings of Google are sometimes a mystery and some people lose their accounts without really knowing why.
So if you have a website, diversify your earnings. Your choices for monetizing a blog include using other Pay Per Click sponsors, selling advertising space, or using cost per action. You could also directly promote other products or services and get paid an affiliate commission per sale.
Track your stats
You need to watch your stats to monitor the performance of your website. Check your stats to see which banners and ads are performing the best and change those that aren’t bringing results. You should consider rotating your banners every few months anyway to give your site a new look. Without this your regular visitors may become “banner blind” after a while and will tune out when they see your ads and banners.
Another way to diversify your websites is to have some of them on different servers. Hosting is really cheap these days. If you can put one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year’s worth of hosting, you’re making a smart choice. Not only does it have search engine benefits, but if one of your servers should go down, not all of your sites are down at once.

Diversify your online income methods
Diversifying your income also includes having more than one website, or indeed more than one online business. I am a great believer in focusing on one thing at a time. However once you have a successful money making website up and running you can look at other ways of making money online.
Create an info product
If you are making money through affiliate marketing then you may consider making a product of your own. You can take something you already do and know about and write an ebook or produce a course teaching others how to do it. Don’t think you need to write a huge tome of pages and pages as if explaining the origin of the universe.
The simplest courses often sell the best. Let’s face it, most information can be found online if you search hard enough. Many people are just too lazy or don’t have the time or inclination to do that. If you can supply the answer to their problem for a reasonable price they will pay you for your knowledge.
The key to this is to make a product that offers one solution to one problem that you produce in one day or one sitting as Jason calls it. I know it sounds too easy to be true. Jason calls this the 1,1,1 system and describes the whole system in his Product eClass training.
Make money selling on Amazon
Perhaps you want to think bigger than an online moneymaking blog or product. Sure you can make regular monthly income online through those methods but not many make life changing income.
Two years back, a study by FeedVisor discovered that 1 in 5 “professional” Amazon sellers sold over $1 million dollars a year. But what does that mean exactly? Now obviously sales are not profits. But with this updated approach you can expect about 30% profit and that gets better the more you do it.
You shouldn’t get thrown by the term “professional”. The reality is that anyone can sell on Amazon, and in fact, Jeff Bezos wants as many people selling products on Amazon as possible.
Many 7-figure Amazon sellers don’t have factories, use warehouses or even have a single employee other than themselves and maybe a spouse or child working with them. They make your normal small business look big, so even though they are often solo-sellers, they still do quite well on Amazon.
The fact is this new approach to selling on Amazon means everyone including you and me can make money from home.
Amazon has so far doubled its profit during the pandemic. People will always want to buy online. Prime Day in October, Black Friday and the Christmas season will still bring the usual increase in sales and offer huge opportunities.
For a very limited time in September 2020 you can read more about the new updated Amazon opportunity here. This opportunity usually opens up once a year in February but hey are running an exclusive training because the opportunity is huge right now.
So remember to diversify your online income. If you’re having a slow sales month on one of your affiliate programs, you will be glad that some of your other money making ventures may just pick up the slack. Also be open to opportunities. There may be ways of making money online that you have never considered before that could be a huge opportunity for you.
